(Neh 8:2-8) “And Ezra ... brought the law before the congregation both of men and women, and all that could hear with understanding, ...And he read therein ... from the morning until midday, before the men and the women, and those that could understand; and the ears of all the people were attentive unto the book of the law. And Ezra ... stood upon a pulpit of wood, which they had made for the purpose; ... And Ezra opened the book in the sight of all the people; (for he was above all the people;) and when he opened it, all the people stood up: and Ezra blessed the LORD, the great God. And all the people answered, Amen, Amen, with lifting up their hands: and they bowed their heads, and worshipped the LORD with their faces to the ground. ... and the people stood in their place. So they read in the book in the law of God distinctly, and gave the sense, and caused them to understand the reading.”

School of the Scriptures - Our School of the Scriptures Service is a non-age segregated teaching time where the focus is on verse by verse exposition of the scriptures.

Preaching & Praise – Our Preaching & Praise Service starts with congregational singing of old-fashioned hymns and spiritual songs in preparation for sound conviction-filled Bible preaching.

Prayer & Missions – Our Prayer & Missions Service brings our church body together for a much needed focus on prayer. Starting with worship in song, we then have a brief exhortation and a time to hear from one of our missionaries in letter, but overall the emphasis is on prayer time.

At times the regular Prayer & Missions Service may be replaced with special teaching sessions or with a community evangelistic effort. These times will be announced in advance in the bulletin.

School of Biblical Studies – Our mid-week service is a time for our church body to once again gather for fellowship, worship in song and sound Bible teaching in a topical or expository format.

Cry Room - The cry room at the back of the sanctuary is provided for parents with young children that are being trained to be able to sit still in the sanctuary and for parents with babies if there is no nursery scheduled. (It is not a play room.) Nursing moms should use the nursery downstairs for diaper changing or nursing. We attempt to be as tolerant of young children as possible during our services, however, if their behavior becomes to distracting from the preaching or teaching parents may be asked to take their children into the cry room. It is not our purpose to offend, but we also cannot allow misbehaved children to be an offense to those who came to hear the preaching and teaching of the word of God.

It may also be used by Adults or Children with Adult Supervision who are dealing with the effects of an illness that might be a continued disturbance in the sanctuary.

The cry room is not for those who come in late; please find a seat in the sanctuary.

Nursery – A nursery for children under 4 years old is typically provided during regularly scheduled services. Our nursery is staffed by at least one adult woman with a beeper system. The beeper system allows the nursery worker to contact the Nursery Administrator in the event that additional help is needed or to request the presence of a child’s mother.

* Note: The first Sunday of every month the church has a fellowship lunch on the grounds following the morning services, so the Prayer & Missions service is held around 2 pm immediately following the fellowship lunch.
